International Symposium on the Promotion of Deforestation-Free Global Supply Chains for Contributing to Halt Deforestation

Objective of event is to inform participants on the status of the implementation New York [2015] global zero deforestation commitments, to facilitate wider publication of good practices including by private sector in Japan toward the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Aichi Biodiversity targets, and to provide an opportunity scaling up zero-deforestation activities by a wide range of sectors toward the shared goal of halting deforestation by 2020.

Organizers Forestry Agency of Japan in cooperation with the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and other partners.
